Dr. Lori D. Johnson received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon, in 1984. She is an active member of the Washington State Chiropractic Association, and has been a practicing chiropractor in Mount Vernon, Washington, for more than 30 years. She is an Advanced Proficiency Rated Activator Doctor. She is also an Associate Clinical Instructor for Activator Methods, helping teach Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique to Chiropractic Physicians in Washington and Oregon. She is the Northwest Regional Director for Activator Methods Inc.
Dr. Lori enjoys the outdoors with her husband, James, and dog Gryffindor.
Dr. Lisa Pfeffer graduated cum laude in December 2013 from Life Chiropractic College West in California. During her time there, she enjoyed participating in chiropractic mission trips to El Salvador and Jamaica. Dr. Lisa is an Advanced Proficiency Rated Activator Doctor. She enjoys CrossFit, travel, and hiking with her family.
The Activator Method uses a hand-held instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument to deliver a gentle pulse of force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion and function to the targeted spinal vertebra or extremity.
Activator adjustments have a healing advantage because the instrument is so quick that the body's muscles are less likely to tense in response and resist the treatment. The lack of muscle resistance facilitates the treatment's effectiveness. The applied force is localized and does not add any additional torque or bending movement to the joint.
Activator adjustments are safe and effective for babies, children, pregnant women and the elderly.
